Open house events planned for military academy hopefuls
WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers, R-5th District, plans a series of open house events for those interested in appointments to military academies.
"If your son or daughter is interested in applying for acceptance into a military academy, I invite you to one of my open houses," said McMorris Rodgers.
Liaisons from the academies will be on hand to answer questions, she said.
The events are for seniors and other students who might be interested in attending a military academy.
Open houses are set for Monday, Sept. 29, at her Spokane congressional office; Tuesday, Sept. 30, at the Colville congressional office and Wednesday, Oct. 1 at the Walla Walla congressional office.
Those planning to attend are asked to RSVP to (509) 353-2374 or e-mail McMorris Rodgers. Contact information is available at www.mcmorris.house.gov/contact.shtml.
Military academy application forms are available at http://mcmorris.house.gov/pdf/academy_nomination_application_form.pdf.
