Betsy Gable, consumer marketing manager for the sate Department of Tourism, will be the guest speaker during the 18th annual Okanogan County Tourism Council banquet and workshop Thursday, Nov. 6.
Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. at Sun Valley Restaurant, Okanogan.
Gable has worked for the tourism department for more than 20 years and oversees advertising, Internet, collateral marketing materials, consumer research and cooperative marketing activities.
A free workshop is planned from 4-5:30 p.m. on "Trails in Okanogan Country."
Speakers will include Ted Murray, Okanogan County GIS and project lead for the Similkameen Trail; Mike Alvarado, Okanogan National Forest trails coordinator for the Tonasket Ranger District; Jay Lucas, executive director of Methow Valley Sport Trails Association, and Joan Pfeiffer, Washington State Trails Coalition trails for a healthy life.
Tickets are $20 per person if purchased by Tuesday, Nov. 3, or $25 at the door. Checks can be mailed to Okanogan County Tourism, Box 626, Omak. Pre-paid tickets can be picked at the door or at the Economic Alliance office, Omak.
