Parent-teacher conferences are planned for Thursday and Friday, Nov. 13-14, at Omak Middle School.
     Students will have both days off, according to a school announcement.
     “We sure hope you’ll take advantage of these two days to come to school and meet with your child’s teachers,” the announcement continued.
     Conferences will be held arena style in the multi-purpose room/cafeteria. The arena allows parents to approach teachers for private conferences at tables spread around the room, according to the announcement.
     “Past conference attendance indicates that the biggest group will attend on Thursday during the afternoon and evening. If you would like a little more time, Friday looks to be a better day,” said school officials.
     Conference hours are noon to 4 p.m. and 5-7:45 p.m. Thursday and 8-11 a.m. and noon to 3:15 p.m. Friday. The breaks are for staff meals.
     Report cards will be distributed as parents arrive, the announcement continued.
     “We hope you are prepared to ask some questions and provide us some information as to how we can better support your students in their growth and learning,” said school officials. “We encourage and welcome your child at the conference to share in discussing his/her progress.”
