Coulee Dam Credit Union has warned that several people, both members and non-members, have been receiving fraudulent calls throughout the county today, telling them that their card has been suspended.
Staff at the Omak branch have been receiving reports all morning about this fraud. They advise that anyone receiving such calls ignore them.
The caller began at 5 a.m. today, telling people that their card is suspended because the credit union believes a third party has accessed it. They then ask the cardholder to contact their security department.
CDCU is working on getting the calls shut down now.
