A two-vehicle accident on Highway 97 about three miles north of Chelan Monday night, Dec. 29, sent two people to hospitals.
     Kristin M. Rieb, 27, Brewster, was northbound around 5:55 p.m. when her vehicle skidded on snow and ice, according to a Washington State Patrol announcement.
     Her vehicle collided with a southbound pickup truck driven by Byron R. Webster, 50, Chelan, the patrol reported.
     Rieb was taken by ambulance to Central Washington Hospital, Wenatchee, for treatment of a head laceration and a left side injury, the announcement continued.
     Webster, who suffered from left shoulder pain, was driven by private vehicle to Lake Chelan Community Hospital, Chelan.
     Both vehicles were destroyed. Both drivers were wearing restraints.
