OKANOGAN - The Okanogan County Coordinated Weed Management Area Group will sponsor "Spray Smart," a hands-on workshop for backpack sprayer calibration, this spring.
"Knowing how much product your sprayer is actually putting out per acre can save you time and money, and it's kinder on our environment," an Okanogan County Noxious Weed Control Board announcement said.
Pesticide license credits may be available.
Workshops will be held in Okanogan March 26-27, Brewster April 3, Oroville April 9, Tonasket April 10, Tunk Valley April 23, Twisp April 24, Molson April 30 and Chesaw May 1. Workshops run from 8-10:30 a.m., with additional workshops planned at 10:30 a.m. 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. if there is enough interest.
Pre-registration is required by Feb. 20, organizers said.
More information and pre-registration are available from the noxious weed office, 422-7165, or in Room 102 in the county courthouse.
