OLYMPIA – The Washington State Auditor’s Office has issued clean audit reports for three local governments.
Oroville Housing Authority received a clean audit for 2005-07.
It owns and operates Similkameen Park for agricultural workers, Oroville Garden Apartments for the elderly and disabled, and East Oroville Housing Park temporary housing for agricultural workers.
The Brewster Flat Irrigation District received a clean audit for 2005-07.
It has a $250,000 annual budget funded mostly through property assessments. An elected, five-member board governs the district and oversees its two full-time employees and part-time secretary.
Fire District No. 6 received a clean audit for 2004-07.
The district serves the Methow Valley area from Mazama to Carlton. It maintains four fire stations with a staff of three full-time station chiefs, one full-time district fire chief and a part-time district secretary.
A three-member board governs the district, which has a $560,000 budget funded mostly by property taxes.
For all three, the auditor’s office said they complied with state laws and regulations and their own policies and procedures. Internal controls were adequate to safeguard public assets.
