WINTHROP – Organizers of Winthrop ‘49er Days have announced the names of parade winners in the old-time Western celebration.
     The Methow Mountain Men took home the grand prize in the general division, while Ely and Pippa Smith won the mounted division.
     Other winners were:
     Organizations - Fairview Junior High School Marching Band, Bremerton.
     Individuals - West Coast County Heat Western dancers.
     Commercial - J.A. Wright Construction/Sanitation float.
     Mounted organizations - Shafer Museum stagecoach, driven by Kit McLean Cramer.
     Mounted individuals - Mule team driven by Bob Isenhart and Tiny Gould.
     Commercial - Kevin and Cheryl Loso, miniature donkeys.
     Pack strings – Cascade Wilderness Outfitters, Steve Darwood.
