RICHLAND - Wade Gebbers, Brewster, carded a 73 after the first day of the class 1A state golf tournament May 27 at Columbia Pointe Golf Course.
     The top 40, or half of the original field, advanced to the second day of the tournament.
     Among those getting to play Thursday, May 28, were Cody Wells and Ryan Price of Okanogan. Wells had a first-day 78 while price had an 81.
     In all, the Caribou Trail League qualified six of 10 golfers sent to state to the second day.
