REPUBLIC - Motorists along Ferry County highways will experience some delays because of road work.
Workers will remove loose rock from slopes adjacent to state Highway 20 west of Republic at milepost 301, on Sherman Pass at milepost 319 and on state Highway 21 south of Keller at milepost 112, the state Department of Transportation announced June 4.
There will be single-lane, flagger-controlled traffic.
Road resurfacing is scheduled on state Highway 20 between the Okanogan County line and Republic, mileposts 297-302; along state highways 20 and 21 from Republic to the Canadian border north of Curlew, mileposts 162-191, and on state Highway 21 between the Keller Ferry and Wilbur, mileposts 92-106.
Motorists should expect delays in those areas with flaggers and pilot cars directing single-lane traffic, the DOT said.
Advisory speed limits are in place during chip sealing because of loose gravel, the DOT said.
