Updated: Brush fire closes state Highway 17
BRIDGEPORT – A large brush fire has closed state Highway 17 south of Bridgeport.
The fire, which is moving quickly, led the Washington State Patrol to close the highway 20 miles south of Bridgeport.
The patrol said it’s uncertain when the road will reopen. UPDATED: The fire is still burning however it is no longer effecting the highway, a State Patrol memo said. Roadway is now open. Fire vehicles are still in the area.
