Kids Fest planned in Grand Coulee area
     GRAND COULEE – The fifth annual Kids Fest at Grand Coulee Dam will be Saturday, June 20.
     The free event is for children 12 and younger.
     Organizer is the Grand Coulee Dam Area Chamber of Commerce. Events will be held from Electric City to Coulee Dam.
     Hour are 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Kids can play miniature golf at Sunbanks Resort, paddle boats at Coulee Playland, check out the Grand Coulee fire truck, visit the Coulee Curizers Car Best Rod Run by a Dam Site car show, and visit the dam visitors’ center, Colville Tribal Museum and Teepee Drive In, say organizers.
     A Lions Club barbecue is planned at North Dam Park.
     The Wenatchee Youth Circus will perform at 2 p.m. on the Lake Roosevelt High School football field in Coulee Dam. Tickets are available at H&H Grocery in Electric City, NCNB, The Star newspaper office, the Grand Coulee Dam Area Chamber of Commerce office or at the gate.
     Tickets cost $5 for those 12 and under and $8 for those 13 and older.
     Activity entry forms, which can be initialed at participating events, can be turned in at 2 p.m. at the circus gate. A drawing will be held at intermission.
     Prizes including iPods, will be awarded. Children must be present to win, organizers said.
