TONASKET – Two people from Chilliwack, B.C., were injured when their motorcycle collided with a deer June 3 on County Road No. 7 about four miles south of town.
Terrance G. Hemminger, 53, was southbound around 2:45 p.m. when he swerved to miss a deer in the road. His motorcycle struck the deer in the southbound lane.
Hemminger and a passenger, Glenda D. Terrance, 52, were ejected from their vehicle, coming to rest in the road. The motorcycle came to rest on the southbound shoulder. Both were wearing helmets.
G. Terrance suffered a broken or dislocated tibia, lacerations and road rash.
Glenda Terrance suffered lacerations to her head and road rash.
Both were transported by ambulance to North Valley Hospital.
The motorcycle suffered about $2,500 damage.
