CURLEW – Two Alabama residents were injured July 6 when their motorcycle fell over as they turned from state Highway 21 into Curlew Lake State Park.
Michael P. Howell, 65, Mentone, Ala., was northbound on the highway around 5:30 p.m. when he attempted to turn left into the park, the Washington State Patrol said. The motorcycle fell on its right side.
A passenger, Margaret B. Howell, 64, of the same hometown, also was injured.
The two, who both wore helmets, were transported by ambulance to Ferry County Memorial Hospital, Republic.
The motorcycle received about $2,000 damage.
