CONCONULLY – The Grubstake Open Golf Tournament will be Saturday, Aug. 15, at the Okanogan Valley Golf Club on Pogue Flat between Okanogan and Omak.
The event is sponsored by the Conconully Chamber of Commerce.
Signups are at noon, with tee time at 1 p.m. A scramble format and shotgun start are planned for four-player teams, organizer Nancy Gill said.
A steak dinner is planned after play. There will be a raffle and prizes.
First place pays $300 and second pays $100.
The tournament is a memorial to John King and Larry Hamilton, who both died in the past year and were longtime co-organizers of the event, Gill said.
Many tournament participants come with four-member teams, but three can play if they want, she said. Singles or doubles can show up and probably be placed on a team, Gill added.
The cost is $55 for those who are not club members or $40 for members. The added $15 is for the green fee, Gill said.
More information is available from Gill at 826-6780.
