OMAK -- Three men were arrested Thursday, Aug. 20, in connection with a driveby shooting earlier this month.
Jose L. Sanchez, 20, and Orlando R. Santos, 18, both of Bridgeport; and Daniel A. Lopez, 24, of Waterville, were booked into the Okanogan County Jail late and are awaiting first-appearance before a judge.
The men are facing a possible first-degree attempted murder charge in the Aug. 7 driveby shooting of Juan Contreras. The victim was shot in the forehead by one of the assailants, police said.
Contreras, 25, of Lapwai, Idaho, remains on life support at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane.
Police said the shooting may be gang-related.
The arrests were a coordinated effort of Omak, Colville Tribal and Brewster police, the FBI and the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.
