Outage planned to repair fire damage

     OKANOGAN – A six-hour power outage is planned for all customers of Okanogan County Electric Cooperative and many Okanogan County Public Utility District customers in the Methow Valley.
     The outage, to repair damage from the Oden Road Fire, will run from midnight to 6 a.m. Friday, Aug. 28.
     The outage will affect PUD customers to 2.5 miles south of Carlton and all customers of both utilities northward to Winthrop.
     Those who live in the Pleasant Valley area, Malott and south of Malott to Ophir Grade, including the Chiliwist, will see a briefer outage.
