OMAK – A warrant was issued Sept. 2 for a fourth man suspected of involvement in a shooting that left a Lapwai, Idaho, man critically injured.
Christian Cebreros-Godina, 21, Wenatchee, is sought on suspicion of first-degree conspiracy to commit murder and conspiracy to commit drive-by shooting, Omak Police Chief Larry Schreckengast said.
Juan Santana "Chulo" Contreras, 25, was shot in the head Aug. 7. He was in Omak to check out the venue for an Aug. 8 concert at the Omak Community Center. He was the passenger in a van on Benton Street when the shooting occurred.
Jose L. Sanchez, 20, and Orlando R. Santos, 18, both of Bridgeport; and Daniel A. Lopez, 24, Waterville, were arrested Aug. 20.
Lopez and Santos are being held on suspicion of attempted first-degree murder and drive-by shooting. Sanchez is being held on suspicion of conspiracy to commit attempted first-degree murder and being an accomplice to drive-by shooting.
Schreckengast said Cebreros-Godina is believed to have been in a vehicle with the others when the shooting occurred.
Cebreros-Godina is 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighs 175 pounds and has brown eyes and black hair, Detective Jeff Koplin said.
Help from the public is sought in locating Cebreros-Godina. Koplin said people should not approach the suspect since he may be armed.
People are asked to contact the Omak Police Department, 826-0383, or Koplin’s cell phone, 846-5622. Anonymous calls will be accepted and people can leave a voice mail on the cell phone if Koplin doesn’t answer, he said.
