CHELAN - A four-vehicle pile up closed the Knapp Tunnel for more an hour about seven miles south of here Sept. 12.
     Three southbound vehicles on U.S. Highway 97A were stopped for a disabled, blocking vehicle in the tunnel around 1:30 p.m., a State Patrol accident memo said.
     A fourth southbound vehicle driven by Jarett Allen Holbrook, 19, Pateros, ran into the back vehicle driven by Amie Ruth Shattuck, 33, Wenatchee.
     She was transported by ambulance to Central Washington Hospital as a precaution.
     Her vehicle ran into a vehicle driven by Jason Robert Shattuck, 33, Wenatchee.
     His vehicle ran into a vehicle driven by Kirk Allen Buncan, 48, Sherwood Park, Alberta.
     Holbrook's vehicle was destroyed.
     Amie Shattuck's vehicle suffered about $3,000 damage and was towed from the scene. Jason Shattuck's vehicle suffered about $2,500 damage and was driven from the scene.
     Buncan's vehicle suffered about $1,000 damage and was driven from the scene.
     All those involved were using restraints.
