OMAK – Omak soon will get its fourth traffic light.
A new light is being installed today, Sept. 16, at the intersection of U.S. Highway 97 at Dayton Street.
Omak City Administrator Ralph Malone said the state Department of Transportation project manager told him the light should be up and operational the afternoon of Sept. 16.
“If all goes well with their testing, the light will be put into service at that time, and continue to operate,” Malone said. “If they find any problems during the testing period, the light will be put into service at a later time.”
Other lights are located at the intersections of Main Street and Central Avenue, Riverside Drive/Engh Road and U.S. Highway 97, and Engh Road and Omak River Road.
