Grand Coulee Dam Visitor Center begins winter hours

     GRAND COULEE - Grand Coulee Dam Visitor Center began its winter hours of operation, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, on Oct. 1.
     The center will be open daily throughout the winter except for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's days.
     Exhibits at the visitor center interpret Grand Coulee's role as one of the main irrigation, flood control and hydroelectric dams on the Columbia River, according to an announcement from the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation.
