REPUBLIC – A teenager was injured Oct. 13 when a car hit a cow on state Highway 20 about 10 miles east of Republic.
     Driver Charlotte R. Koontz, 45, Republic, was westbound when her car hit the cow.
     A passenger, Austin J. Prine, 14, Kettle Falls, was taken to Ferry County Memorial Hospital, Republic, for treatment of unnamed injuries, the Washington State Patrol said.
     Both Koontz and Prine were wearing seatbelts.
