Several free dinners will be offered in Okanogan and Ferry counties for those needing a place to go on Thanksgiving.
Tonasket Saloon will have its traditional free Thanksgiving dinner from 2-6 p.m. Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 26, at 302 S. Whitcomb Ave.
Two additional free Thanksgiving dinners will be offered in Tonasket, one at the Eagles Aerie and another at Free Methodist Church.
The Eagles dinner starts at 2 p.m. at the lodge. Dinner with all the fixings is free and the event is open to the public, organizers said.
Donations will be accepted from those wishing to contribute.
Another Thanksgiving feast will be served Thursday in the Free Methodist Church dining hall, a half-mile up Havillah Road on the right.
All the food will be provided and people are invited to come alone or bring a guest and help themselves, organizers said.
American Legion Post No. 97, Brewster, will serve Thanksgiving dinner at 1 p.m. Thanksgiving Day at the Legion Hall at the end of Main Street.
Dinner will feature turkey, ham and all the trimmings, and will be cooked by Legion members and community volunteers.
Itís also a potluck.
Lindaís Bakery, Oroville, will offer a free turkey dinner with all the trimmings for the seventh year.
Dinner will be served from 1-5 p.m. at the bakery, 712 14th Ave. The meal is free, but donations are welcome, organizers say.
Okanogan County Community Action Council will host free dinners from 5-7 p.m. the last Sunday of each month at the Tonasket Community Cultural Center, with the next coming Nov. 29.
