Donations sought for tribal sharing program

     OMAK – Donations will be taken all day Friday, Dec. 18, at the Omak Community Center for people laid off from Colville tribal mills.
     The Christmas Share and Care distribution will begin at 8 a.m. the next day, Dec. 19, at the center, according to a tribal announcement. Hot chocolate, cookies, stew chili and other goodies will be provided.
     People are asked to donate food, clothing, blankets, canned goods, turkeys and other items.
     “Clean out the closets, if you have something to share,” organizers said. “Folks who need any of the items we’re gathering, come on over.”
