OMAK – Colville Tribal Police and the FBI are investigating a homicide in which an assault victim died at Mid-Valley Hospital early Dec. 17.
The victim’s name has not been released, pending notification of family, Chief Matt Haney said.
Tribal police are not releasing the name of the alleged assailant.
Omak Police Department responded with tribal police to the hospital at 4 a.m. An Omak report said a knife was involved and that two women had been wounded, one with multiple stab wounds and the other with a wound to the left clavicle.
Omak Police assisted with detaining people and crowd control.
