BREWSTER – An Omak couple was injured Dec. 28 in a vehicle crash a mile south of Brewster on U.S. Highway 97.
     Driver Erin Mundinger, 61, received a fractured leg, the Washington State Patrol said. Her husband, Gary Mundinger, 68, also received a leg injury.
     Both were taken to Okanogan-Douglas District Hospital, Brewster.
     The Mundingers were northbound about 3:25 p.m. when their SUV slid off the snowy highway’s southbound shoulder and hit a rock and chain-link fence. Their vehicle was destroyed.
