OMAK - The first Okanogan County baby of 2010 was born Jan. 2 at Mid-Valley Hospital.
     Baby Logan Cate, a boy, was born at 5:25 p.m. Saturday to mother Katherine Seyler and father Alex Cate.
     He weighed in at 6 pounds, 2 ounces and measured 17.5 inches long.
     The second baby was born Jan. 3 at Coulee Community Hospital, Grand Coulee.
     Passion Evanita Carlson, a girl, was born 12:14 a.m. to mother Kaila Tohee and father Raymond Carlson, Nespelem. She weighed 8 pounds, 6 ounces and was 21 inches long.
     As of Monday, no 2010 babies had been born at either Okanogan-Douglas District Hospital, Brewster, or North Valley Hospital, Tonasket.
