CHELAN - The Mood Swings vocal trio will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, at the Vogue in Chelan.
The group has been absent from the performance arena for a year, member Judy Johnston said.
The Mood Swings was formed 10 years ago by Johnston, a swing music lover from Brewster.
"My father was addicted to classic jazz and the music I heard while growing up was infused with the sounds of New Orleans and the hot clubs of New York," she said. "The girl groups such as the Andrews Sisters, with tight harmonies and backbeats that make you hop out of your seats, influenced me and shaped my musical tastes."
She said the group wants to see the music brought into the 21st century so people can relive the excitement of the 1930s and 1940s, and preserve songs by Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, Hoagie Carmicheal, Duke Ellington and other contributors to that era, she said.
Other singers are Betsy Raines and Cara Mia Vance. They are accompanied by pianist Janyth Arvidson and drummer Greg Johnston.
