Basketball update: Pateros boys place fifth in state
     YAKIMA - The Pateros boys capped their season with a 43-40 victory over Lake Quinault on Feb. 27 to finish fifth and bring home their first-ever tropy in the class 1B boys state tournament.
     Pateros (22-5) led by 10 halfway through the third quarter before Lake Quinault (17-10) got within three, 34-31 early in the fourth quarter.
     The Billygoats went on a 6-1 run that included four points from Abram Wilson (8 points 10 rebounds) to sew up the game.
     Nate Taylor led Pateros with 11 points, including nine in the second half.
     Rylan Easter added nine points.
