     OKANOGAN - A former Omak man serving 20 years in federal prison for possessing child pornography returned to Okanogan County and heard state charges against him Aug. 19.
     Scott “Scotty” Dean Brown, 37, heard six counts each of first-degree child molestation and first-degree rape of a child. A trial is scheduled for Oct. 12.
     He was charged Feb. 11 in Okanogan County Superior Court. A warrant was issued to bring him back to the county; he is serving a federal sentence until 2023.
     He was booked into the county jail Aug. 10.
     Brown is charged with raping and twice molesting a girl from May 16, 2005, to May 15, 2006. He is charged with molesting a second girl in March 2005.
     He was charged with raping five times and molesting three times a third girl between Dec. 28, 2001, and July 3, 2005, court records said.
     After release from prison, Brown will be placed on lifetime court supervision, federal officials said.
