ELLISFORDE – An Oroville man was injured Aug. 29 when the vehicle in which he was riding left U.S. Highway 97 and crashed into an orchard.
Roberto Gonzalez-Nolazco, 29, suffered a broken arm and abdominal injuries, the Washington State Patrol said. He was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center, Seattle, and listed in stable condition.
Driver Joaquin Bustamante-Lagunas, 49, Oroville, was southbound when his SUV went off the road’s left side, overturned and hit an apple bin and pear trees.
Bustamante-Lagunas was wearing a seatbelt. It’s unknown if Gonalezl-Nolazco was, the patrol said.
