PATEROS – A Trail Challenge for horses and riders by the Tri-Rivers Backcountry Horsemen is set for 9 a.m. Saturday, June 16, at the Orford Ranch five miles up Bill Shaw Road.
There will be about 20 different timed challenges with varying degrees of difficulty from opening a gate to a fun water crossing. Each event is judged with prizes to be awarded.
“These challenges are mostly what you would meet riding the trails in the Methow Valley and elsewhere,” spokeswoman April Haley said. “All ages and skill levels are welcome.”
Pre-registration is encouraged as the number of entrants will be limited.
New this year is a tack sale.
To enter contact Haley at 509-670-0928 or by email at TriRiversBchw@gmail.com.
