OMAK – The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the Okanogan Valley until 10 tonight.
Meteorologists are predicting up to two inches of snow falling on the U.S. Highway 97 corridor from Pateros to Oroville. They said snow will also accumulate along state Highway 20 from Tonasket to Republic.
Bridgeport, Nespelem and Inchelium are also covered by the advisory.
Several vehicles have already been reported in the ditch in communities on the U.S. Highway 97 corridor.
Snow-covered roads will mean difficult travel through Loup Loup, Wauconda, Desautel and Sherman passes, weather officials said.
While snow is falling in the Grand Coulee area, it is not included in the advisory.
