WENATCHEE - Applications are being accepted for any band that would like to open live prior to the bullriding G.S. Long Bullriding Blowout held Apple Blossom weekend, May 3-4, at the Town Toyota Center.
The selected bands will open at 6 p.m. Friday, May 3, and do an encore at 6 p.m. Saturday, May 4. The riding starts at 7:30 p.m. both nights.
More than 35 professional bullriders will be vying to become the champion of the weekend with over 3,000 guests in the arena per night.
Interest bands can apply online at www.TownToyotaCenter.com/bands-application.
The selection committee may select one band to play both nights or select different bands to play each night. The selected band would receive media exposure, recognition the night of the event, a $100 stipend per night and four tickets to the show.
In order to qualify, all bands must submit a two-minute video and have enough material for up to 60 minutes of live play time. Cover bands may apply. Additional guidelines are noted on the application.
All submissions must be received by 5 p.m. Monday, March 25 , to marketing@towntoyotacenter.com.
The blowout is the largest bullriding event held in Chelan and Douglas counties.
