Obituary:William Eugene Sapp
William (Bill) Eugene Sapp passed July 31, 2012. Born in Scotia, California on October 13, 1944, Bill was the third son of Ralph and Elana Sapp.
In 1961 Bill entered the US Army and was honorably discharged in 1968. On Nov. 2, 1965 Bill married Roseanna M. Harry-Huguienin. They spent their early years in Sequim, Wash. where he was a skipper, boat builder and commercial fisherman.
Although self-taught, he was a truly gifted sheet metal man. From the early ‘80’s to the present, he operated Bill’s Wing Shop at the Omak airport where he rebuilt aircraft and aircraft wings for most all types of light aircraft. Bill was always looking for a new adventure and was a great inventor. He was forever tinkering with some new idea. He invented an arm wrestling machine, several different exercise machines, and was always figuring a way to make something better.
Guitar picker, country music singer, and Johnny Cash fan, Bill loved the old country music, weekend motorcycle rides with Rose, visits from his grandchildren, skiing and flying his airplane.
He touched many of our lives with his fireside stories, charming wit, and never ending smile. He will be missed by his loved ones and those who had a chance to see his smile or experience his workmanship.
Bill was preceded in death by his loving wife, Roseanna, in March of 2012; both parents; and his oldest brother, Robert.
Bill is survived by his son, Gordon of Wenatchee; daughter, Susan Gamez of Bend, Ore.; daughter, Tammy Weeks of Camano Island, Wash.; five grandchildren, two great- grandchildren, and brothers, Darrell and Douglas of Omak, Wash.
Private interment will be at Eagle Cliff Cemetery, Wauconda, Wash.
