Obituary:Alexander “Alex” Chester Pfitzer
Alexander “Alex” Chester Pfitzer, 77, of Omak, passed away Aug. 28, 2012. He was born in Flasher, N.D. Sept. 27, 1934. Alex was an ordained minister at the Assembly of God Church in Riverside, Wash. for 55 years. He retired in February of 2009.
Alex is survived by his sons and daughter-in-laws, Dan and Becky Pfitzer of Omak, Doug and Ramona Pfitzer of Okanogan, and Daryl and Rebekah Pfitzer of Omak; grandchildren, Daniel and Soksanh Pfitzer, Dustin and Renae Pfitzer, Darren and Katie Pfitzer, Devan and Jesus Palomares, Kimberly Pfitzer, Nathan Pfitzer, Sha’ Pfitzer, Ethan Pfitzer, and Lexi Pfitzer; great-grandchildren, Dean Pfitzer, Brooklyn Pfitzer, Rowdy Pfitzer, and Nevaeh Palomares; and siblings, Esther Ruth Pfitzer–Hansen, Bernard Phillip Pfitzer, and Deloris Janet Pfitzer-Taylor.
Alex was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene W. Pfitzer; son, Alex Dean Pfitzer; father, Alex Pfitzer; mother, Magdalene Pfitzer (Litz); grandson, Nicholas Pfitzer; sisters, Christina Helena Pfitzer-Blair, Edna Viola Pfitzer-Doty, and Gladys Darlene Pfitzer; and brothers, Arthur Edwin Pfitzer and Larry Jerome Pfitzer.
Visitation will be held at the Precht-Harrison-Nearents Chapel on Elmway in Okanogan, Monday, Sept. 3, from noon to 4 p.m. Graveside Services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 4 at the Okanogan Valley Memorial Gardens, with Memorial Services to follow at 2 p.m. at the Lighthouse Assembly Of God Church in Riverside, Wash.
Precht-Harrison-Nearents Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
