Obituary:Dewey Wane Herriman
          Dewey Wane Herriman, 63, Riverside, Wash., passed away at his home Aug. 13, 2012, while watching his beloved wrestling program.
          He was born July 4, 1949, to Millard Dewey and Velmer A. Ogden Herriman, at Omak, Wash.
          He was raised in Omak, attending Omak schools then moved to Seattle with his parents, attending school in Seattle also.
          Among his many careers were septic tank service, construction and heavy equipment, assistant manager at Kmart, asphalt and paving, long haul truck driver, tire repair shop, tying steel, some law enforcement, and maintenance supervisor. “I’m a jack of all trades and master of none,” he would say. The infamous career was being a stay-at-home dad.
          He married Donna Self Nov. 27, 1982, at Omak, Wash. Dewey and Donna made their home in Riverside, Wash. He was in the U.S. Army for a short time.
          His most favorite hobby was fishing with his father-in-law, Carl Self, Jr., of Danville, Wash., and family camping or vacations. Recently it has been automotive projects with sons, Carl and Jordan, or solar and wind projects with friend, Sean.
          Dewey is survived by his wife, Donna, at home; sons, Carl Herriman of Riverside, Jordan Herriman, Butch Herriman (Mystery), both of Omak, Sam Ewer of Everett and daughter, Melissa George (Gary) of Omak; sisters, Mary Davis (Stan), Ellen Anderson (Art), of Omak, and Freeda Fallesen of Bolivar, Missouri; brothers, Troy Herriman, Okanogan, and Frank Herriman (Trina) of Idaho; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and his highly prized precious grandchildren.
          He was preceded in death by his parents, Millard and Velmer; brothers, Coy Zeb and Jerry Herriman; and son, Jesse Olson.
          A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, at the Riverside Cemetery followed by dinner at the Okanogan Eagles in Okanogan.
          Donations are suggested to the Veterans’ Memorial Fund, Shane Barton, VA representative, 509-486-3177.
