Obituary:Robert Earl Baggett,
          Robert Earl Baggett, 82, of Omak, Wash., entered into heavenly rest on Sept. 29, 2012.
          He was born to Alfred and Roberta Baggett in Everett, Wash., on Sept. 16, 1930. Robert married Charlotte Olson on Oct. 27, 1960. He leaves his beloved wife, Charlotte; his brother, Jim Baggett; his sister, Dorothy Parsons and husband Pat; his children, Lynn Timmons and husband, Jerry, Lorie Cook, Sheri Torwick and husband, Mark, Donna Sheposh and husband, John, Brett Baggett, Steve Baggett and wife, Lorie, and Scott Baggett and wife, Laura; two nieces; three nephews; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and many more who he considered to be his family. He was predeceased by his parents and grandchild, Glen Fleischman.
          Robert’s many accomplishments include: serving in the Navy; driving long haul for Lyons Moving and Storage; becoming a minister in the early 70’s; opening his home to troubled youth, which eventually grew into a drug rehabilitation program; acting as an interim pastor for the Church of the Nazarene; and finally fulfilling the role as a chaplain for Okanogan County Correctional Facility. In his 22 years as chaplain, he strove to meet the spiritual needs as well as some basic human needs for inmates. He was known for his “Christmas packages for inmates” program, making sure no inmate was forgotten during the Christmas season. Changing even one inmates life was worth all of the investment.
          Along with his wife, he was a member of the Okanogan Valley Church of the Nazarene.
          He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends, and his contributions to the community will not be forgotten.
          Funeral arrangements will be held at the Omak Presbyterian Church on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at 1:00 p.m.
