Obituary: Ruby Daisy Dussell
Ruby Daisy Deon Dussell of Okanogan, Wash., passed away at Deaconess Medical Center, in Spokane, Wash., Nov. 7, 2012.
Ruby was born May 31, 1922 to Mr. and Mrs. Bradford in Delight, Ark. She was raised in Arkansas, then moved to Okanogan, where she spent most of her life. Ruby worked at Schalow’s grocery store and hardware for many years.
One of Ruby’s greatest hobbies was reading. She was a member of Mender’s, and volunteered at the local polling centers in Okanogon during elections.
Ruby was a long-time resident of Okanogan and will be missed by all of the people who touched her life. She recently moved to Omak, where she lived in a senior apartment complex.
Ruby is survived by two sisters, Cynthia Keheley of Hotsprings, Ark. and Evelyn Hogue of Merlin, Ark.; daughter-in-law, Patsy Butler; step-son, Donald (Dusty) Dussell Jr., of Hawaii; and step-daughter, Marlene Deon, of Oregon.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Otis Bradford, of Hotsprings, Ark; husband, Donald Dussell Sr.; sons, Mike Butler of Bremerton, Wash. and Gary Butler of Yuma, Ariz.
Precht-Harrison Nearents Chapel of Okanogan handled the arrangements. Per Ruby’s request there will be no service.
