Obituary:Susan Elaine Wagner
     Susan Elaine Wagner, 54, of Omak, Wash., blessed and graced us with her presence until Nov. 16, 2012. She was born in Augusta, Maine, on Sept. 12, 1958, to Alvin and June Wagner of Readfield, Maine.
     She graduated from Winthrop High School, Winthrop, Maine, in 1976. After graduation she worked for Maine Organic Farmers, followed by several years as a travel agent at Welcome Aboard Travel Agency in Augusta, Maine.
     In 1988, she graduated with highest distinction, obtaining a B.S. degree in mathematics from the University of Maine in Orono. She moved to Wisconsin in 1997 and graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, obtaining a B.S. degree in Pharmacology. While earning her degree, she worked for Women’s International Pharmacy.
     Susan joined Indian Health Service (I. H. S.) as a civil servant in 1998 and transferred to Kayenta, Ariz.. Her work with I. H. S. brought her to Omak, Wash., where she assisted in opening a satellite pharmacy.
     Succeeding I. H. S., Susan worked for Rite Aid, J &S Pharmacy, Ulrich’s in Omak and Twisp, as well as Gross Drug in Bridgeport, Wash. Susan was a licensed Pharmacist Preceptor and was actively training a pharmacist technician.
     Susan is survived by her significant other, Jennifer Haugen of Omak, Wash.; her parents, Alvin and June Wagner of Readfield, Maine; two brothers and sister-in-laws, Alan and Lorraine Hall-Wagner of Readfield, Maine; and Stuart and Wendy Wagner of Mt. Vernon, Maine. She is also survived by her aunts and uncles: Norma Panek, Thelma Shaw, and Helen Chamberlain, Rex and Gayle Barkwell, Douglas and Ginny Wagner; her niece, Kailee; nephew, Collin; and numerous cousins; and a multitude of friends.
     Susan had a Celebration of Life on Aug. 25, 2012. She requested her body be donated to medical research. Her ashes will be spread in accordance to her wishes and a formal ceremony will be held by her family in Maine.
