Obituary:Mamie Sue Trujillo
Mamie Sue Trujillo of Okanogan, Wash. passed away Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012. She was born Aug. 13, 1943, to her parents Charles and Bessie Lucile Loveday in Richmond, Calif.
Mamie and her husband, Jonny, met in 1960 at Grants, New Mexico, married, and began their whirlwind life together that lasted 52 years. Mamie was a loving wife and mother and will be missed. While Mamie was first and foremost a homemaker most of her life, she also owned and operated many businesses over the years with her husband, Jonny. Their final business venture together was the U & I Motel in Okanogan.
Mamie is survived by her husband Jonny Trujillo; and children, Timothy Trujillo, Shirley Chambers, Paula Trujillo, Howard Trujillo, and Sheila Katrina Trujillo. She was preceded in death by her son, Paul David Trujillo; and her parents. Mamie had 17 grandchildren: Tina Marie, Anatolia, Alexander, Heidi, Jonathan, Amber, Diane, Chase, Sheila Rose, Melisa, Bryan, Heather, Alisha, and Joshua Trujillo, Anthony and Amanda Gililland, and Morgan Chambers; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 30, 2012 at Precht-Harrison-Nearents Chapel on Elmway in Okanogan. Visitation will be held from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at the Our Lady of the Valley Church in Okanogan. Interment will be at the Okanogan Valley Memorial Gardens on the flats in between Omak and Okanogan.
