Frank Black, 78, died peacefully at his home. He went to be with his loving God, March 31, 2013.
He was born Aug. 14, 1934 in Melborne, Kansas to Edward and Jenny Black.
He and his family moved to the Okanogan Valley when Frank was two-years-old.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Juanita Black; his sons, Bill Black, Tom Black and Chuck Dunne of Republic, Airway Heights, Wash. and Omak.
He is also survived by his daughters, Diana Black of Omak, Cindy Gaube, of Metlakatla, Alaska and Sherry Palmn of Okanogan; grandchildren, Brandon Black of Omak, Bryan Brady of Oklahoma, Clint Black of Omak, Billy Black of Omak, Elena Black of Airway Heights, Wash., Jake Black of Omak, Ryan Davidson of Okanogan, Shawn Davidson of Okanogan, Taylor Palmn of Okanogan, Daline and Macy, Jacob Kaliese of Republic, and Derrick Dunne of Mt. Vernon, Wash.; and great-grandchildren, Kaylee Black, Cassiade Black, Sidney Black and Miles Black, all of Omak, and Jaidyn Dunne of Mt. Vernon, Wash.
Frank was preceded in death by both of his parents; brothers, Erne Black of Omak, and Harold Black of Okanogan; sister, Evelyn Polk of Tillamook, Ore.; and daughter, Cynthia Charles of Okanogan.
A memorial potluck will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 7 at the Eastside Triangle Park (next to the Stampede office).
