Allen Eugene Howerton of Tonasket, Wash., passed away June 7, 2013. He was 62. He was born in Bremerton, Wash., to Gene and Helen Howerton, on Feb. 2, 1951, a family heritage of pioneers.
Allen enjoyed working on old cars, trucks (junk) and teaching all the kids the things his dad taught him.
His entire life he worked hard, provided for, and loved his family and friends. Always doing the best he knew how, he would say, “he was so honest, he stunk.” He did not support George W. Bush.
The last thing he said to me was, “try to be a good man, do the right thing, but follow your own heart.”
Allen is survived by his daughters, Dawn Halloway, Michele MIchaels, and Amanda Linse; and only son, Aaron Howerton; grandchildren, Kjersti Randall, Candice Bannon, Kristopher and Keegan Michaels, and Savanna Linse; and half-brothers, Charles and Troy Coburn. Allen was preceded in death by both parents; sisters, Donna, Wanda and Virginia; and loving wife, Gail Howerton.
Allen had countless friends who all loved him and respected him. Gone but not forgotten, until we see you again, rest easy Daddy. — Bum
