Brian Harvey Walter died quietly in Seattle on Jan. 23, 2013 after battling cancer.
He was born Jan. 8, 1959, in Seattle to Charles and Maridee Walter.
Brian graduated from Okanogan High School in 1977. He was regarded as one of the more artistically talented students in the early to mid-70s.
Many of his art projects displayed in the school’s show case.
After high school, Brian joined the National Guard. This enabled him to gain an education in heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems (HVAC) which landed him a position with the Seattle branch of Johnson Controls, Inc., where he had been employed since 1979.
He is survived by his mother, Maridee Walter Sherman and step-father, Dan Sherman, of Lake Roesiger, Wash.; sister, Lynda (David) Waddell of Omak, Wash.; and nephews, Dusty and Matt Waddell of Malott, Wash. and their families.
A memorial service was held at 1 p.m., Feb. 9, 2013, at Northlake Christian Church, 19029 North Road, Bothell, Wash.
