Bernice Howard Hernandez, formerly from Omak, passed away Dec. 30, 2012, after an extended illness. Bernice graduated from Omak High School in 1954.
Glenda Howard Wills, also from the Omak area, passed away Jan. 30, 2013, from cancer. Glenda graduated from Omak High School in 1959.
Bernice is survived by three daughters and their spouses, Tanya, Ann, and Teresa; and eight grandchildren.
Glenda is survived by a son, Shane; two daughters and their spouses, Connie and Sondra; and 11 grandchildren.
Bernice and Glenda are both survived by four brothers, James, Don, Ron and Mike Howard, all from the Omak area; two sisters, Norma Townsend of California, and Geneva Reeder of Tonasket. At Bernice’s passing, she was survived by her sister, Glenda.
Glenda and Bernice were both preceded in death by their parents, Jim and Mae Howarda; and one older brother, Marion. Bernice had lost a special granddaughter, Joy; and Glenda, her husband, Zane.
Funeral services were held for Bernice in California, where she had lived for many years.
At Glenda’s request, there will be no services. Her ashes will join Zane’s on a mountain that overlooks a beautiful valley.
We, the family, are thankful to have had these two precious girls in our lives for many years.
