Vivian Gill Timm, 89, passed away on Jan. 27, 2013, at Mid-Valley Hospital, Omak, Wash., surrounded by family. She was born Aug. 22, 1923, in Coulee City, Wash., to Lynch and Veda Gill.
Vivian attended grade school in Wilson Creek, Wash., and graduated high school in 1940.
On Jan. 10, 1941, Vivian married Jack Timm in Grant County. They resided in Wilson Creek, Wash., on the Timm family wheat ranch. In 1948, Vivian and Jack moved to the Timm Ranch on the Columbia River.
In 1963, Vivian attended nursing school in Spokane, Wash. After graduation, she worked as an LPN at Mid-Valley Hospital in Omak for many years. Upon retirement, Vivian moved to Ephrata, Wash., where she spent time with friends and family.
Vivian loved cooking and caring for her family. She was an avid reader and loved her movies and country music. Vivian enjoyed traveling to the mid-west in her motor home and taking yearly trips to Bonaparte Lake with close friends. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a sharp mind. She treasured time spent with friends and family.
Vivian is survived by her three children, Gill (Carol) Timm, Norene VanBrunt, and Bill (Rebecca) Timm; her grandchildren, Eric Timm, Leslee (Holly) Timm, Jeff (Rebecca) VanBrunt, Jennifer (Gregg) Baker, Jayne (Phil) Sanford, Jon VanBrunt, and Jacob and Rachel Timm; her great-grandchildren, Mason Timm, Bella, Brogan, Gretta, and Lucas Timm, Brittney (Kyle) Richter, Ashley, Lindsey and Austin Baker, Arthur and Taylor Sanford, Joshua, Justin, Jeremy, and Jessica VanBrunt, and Jewels and Bentley Bizzell; and six great-great-grandchildren. Vivian also is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; her parents; her brother, Murray; her daughter, Irene; and many other extended relatives.
As per Vivian’s wishes, no services will be held. A celebration of Vivian’s life will be held for friends and family at the Okanogan Grange Hall at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013.
