Mary Ann Chamberlin, 84, of Oroville, died Friday, June 21, 2013 at North Valley Extended Care in Tonasket. She was born April 15, 1929 in Leavenworth, Washington to parents, Earl and Janet Harris.
Mary Ann grew up in Okanogan, graduating from Okanogan High School in 1948. Following graduation, she attended nursing school and then beauty school. In 1958, she moved to Oroville where she worked as a hairdresser before opening her own salon, Powder Puff Beauty Salon.
Mary Ann also worked for many years as a cook, mainly at FAO’s Restaurant. Over the years, she enjoyed bowling and gaming and, in later years, enjoyed going to the Oroville Senior Center where she would have lunch, visit with friends and play bingo.
She is survived by her children, Jim and Hazel Chamberlin of Oroville, and Terry and Elisa Chamberlin of El Paso, Texas; brothers, Don Harris of Riverside, and Earl Dean Harris of Okanogan; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents.
At her request, no services will be held.
