Mergelene (Pichette) Jackson, 86, a lifelong resident of Omak, died Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013.
She was born to Nelli and Henry Pichette on July 19, 1927, in Omak, Wash.
She was a member of the Colville Tribe. She attended St. Mary’s Mission. Mergelene married Merle Jackson in September of 1947. Their daughter, Charlotte, was born December 16, 1949, and Rhonda was born March 19, 1969.
Mergelene and Merle were very active members in Moose Lodge #1492 in Omak. She and Merle loved fishing, dancing and her beautiful roses. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in September 1997.
Mergelene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Merle, in 1999; sisters, Pearl Olive, Lear, Mary and Irene; and her brothers, Tom, Doc, Bill and Bud.
She is survived by her daughters, Charlotte (Bob) Moyer and Rhonda Rodriquez. She also is survived by two grandsons, Dean Houtz and Tony Rodriquez; one granddaughter, Megan Davission; and great-grandchildren, Avery and Emily Houtz.
Graveside servies will be open to all at Omak Cemetery on Elmway on at 11 a.m. Nov. 7, 2013. Reception luncheon will be at the Elks Lodge, 110 S. Ash St., Omak at noon.
