Charlotte W. (Bunny) Kennedy was born March 11, 1921, in Pomeroy, Wash., to Dennis and Hulda (Nelson) Porter. Bunny passed away Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at age 92 at Cheney Care Center, Cheney, Wash. She was the second youngest of 9 children.
On Feb. 3, 1936, she married Russell T. Kennedy at Asotin, Wash. They spent most of their married life in the Elgin, Ore., area. Bunny was a cook at many of Elgin’s restaurants, notably Odie’s. She and Russ enjoyed hunting and fishing together and attending local dances. She also took great pride in her three sons, Bob, Ted, and Gary.
Bunny was preceded in death by her husband, Russ; one son, Ted; her parents; and all eight of her brothers and sisters. She is survived by her sons, Bob (Karen) Kennedy, Okanogan, and Gary Kennedy, Kennewick, Wash.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at the Elgin Community Center, Elgin, Ore., at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26.
