In the early morning of Sept. 26, 2013, the good Lord took Robert “Bob” Paul Adams, Sr., Omak, our beloved Dad, grandfather, papa, brother, and friend to all who knew him, home. He was born Jan. 14, 1929, to Jesse and Goldie Adams in Eustis, Fla., and was raised in Ohio.
Bob then ventured to Southern California in his early years, where he resided until 2004. He then moved to Omak, Wash., where he enjoyed spending time with his family, loved gardening, working in his shop and taking care of his little dogs.
Bob retired as a regional credit manager for Quaker State Oil Corp. Bob raised five children with first wife, Mary, and 7 children with his second wife, Yvonne. He was very active in the church and had faith in mankind. Bob was a very loving, kind and good-hearted man. Bob was a friend to all who knew him.
Bob is survived by his sister, Betty Jean Deans of Canada; his 12 children, Dianne Ousley of Hemet, Calif., Karen Hanlan of Pomona, Calif., Robert Adams Jr. of Omak, Wash., Terry Boykin of Pahrump, Nev., Douglas Adams of San Diego, Calif., Deborah Irwin of Alpine, Calif., Kathleen Boykin of Lakewood, Calif., Julie Tracey of Glendale, Ariz., Sandra Saxon of San Diego, Calif., Arleigh Boykin of Westminster, Calif., Yvonne Lind of Omak, Wash., and Heather Villanueva of Van Nuys, Calif.; 28 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and two nieces in Canada. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Goldie Adams; and his wife of many years, Yvonne Georgie Boykin Adams.
A celebration of his life will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, at Precht-Harrison-Nearents Chapel in Okanogan, Wash. The family will have a potluck gathering at Eric and Yvonne Lind’s at 45 Soren Peterson Road, Omak, (Pogue Flat), immediately following the service. A burial service will be at Rose Hills Cemetery in Whittier, Calif. in early spring 2014.
